Considering recent events, including the Capitol siege, computational biologist and assistant professor C. Brandon Ogbunu explores the merits and drawbacks of analogies to various pathologies. The author concludes by introducing a new analogy to a pathology and discusses how solutions used for the pathology might be considered in addressing racism in America.
