This article provides an interesting collection of responses from early on in the pandemic when educators and educational institutions were faced with reinventing much of our every day and annual practices. Educational institutions worldwide found (and are still finding) creative and innovative ways to address the challenges posed by COVID-19.

In this article, the author outlines five big issues and opportunities facing schools when returning to instruction following the summer, whether full in-person instruction, full-remote instruction, or one of the many hybrid instruction variations. More importantly, though, is the suggestion that the challenge will be to reflect deeply on what we have experienced and take a sharp turn in education and society for the better.
